The Director of Sales role at SpringHill Suites Waco Woodway is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic sales leader to drive the hotel's revenue growth and market presence. This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM) role, where overtime applies and is calculated accordingly. The successful candidate will be a strategic mastermind responsible for planning and executing sales and marketing initiatives aimed at filling rooms and generating record-breaking revenue.

As the Director of Sales, you will lead and inspire a passionate sales team, fostering an environment that supports growth, creativity, and success. You will be instrumental in training, mentoring, and motivating your team, ensuring they are equipped to meet and exceed ambitious sales targets. Job Requirements

  • at least 2 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred or a 4-year college degree with at least 1 year of related experience or a 2-year college degree with at least 2 years of related experience
  • valid driver’s license in applicable state
  • highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to negotiate, sell, and influence
  • experience with professional selling skills such as opening, probing, supporting, closing
  • strong analytical skills and strategic vision
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge
  • ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Job Duties

  • cast creative sales and marketing strategies to fill rooms and increase revenue
  • assemble, train, mentor, and inspire a diverse sales team
  • develop budgets, forecast revenue, and plan innovative marketing campaigns
  • conduct sales calls, client tours, and networking events to build strong client relationships
  • collaborate with all departments and support the General Manager in operational activities
  • maintain accurate sales records and reports
