The Sportsbook Writer role at BetMGM is based in Glendale, AZ and is fully onsite. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality customer service by accurately and quickly processing sports wagers for customers. This involves adherence to gaming laws, policies, and procedures, as well as precise cash handling and ticket processing. The Sportsbook Writer must maintain a friendly, professional demeanor focused on customer acquisition and retention. Additionally, this role requires assisting customers with various property-related needs, such as seating and food and beverage assistance, and supporting digital app wagering activities. Candidates will benefit from a dynamic work environment that values teamwork, adaptability, and continuous learning. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $21.10, with eligibility to participate in a performance-based bonus plan. Job Requirements

- Ability to gain and maintain a gaming license through the proper regulatory body
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift up to 10 pounds without assistance
- Operate computers and technological devices for extended periods
- Minimum six months cash-handling experience with basic math skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Deliver and maintain best-in-class customer service with a focus on customer acquisition and retention through a positive, friendly manner
- Assist customers with property related items including seating, food and beverage assistance, and kiosk wagers
- Write, verify, and make payments on sports wager tickets in accordance with department policies and applicable jurisdictional regulations
- Create and enter player tracking cards
- Maintain and balance a cash drawer for issuing and redeeming tickets and vouchers following established cash-handling policies
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory controls of specific state gaming agencies
- Stock Sportsbook Writer stations with adequate supplies and keep stations neat and clean representing the brand
- Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, to customers
- Assist customers with digital app wagering needs including deposits, withdrawals, registrations, and customer service escalations
- Protect customer rewards and enforce credit line adherence
- Notify management of escalated guest issues, concerns, or suspicious activity
- Partner with Customer Service to resolve customer issues as needed
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
