The Sportsbook Supervisor role offers a unique leadership opportunity within the Sportsbook area, responsible for delivering outstanding service to customers placing bets. This position demands comprehensive knowledge of wagering processes, cash handling, and customer engagement, combined with supervisory capabilities to ensure the smooth operation of the facility. The supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining adherence to all regulatory standards and internal policies, including anti-money laundering (AML) and Title 31 compliance, while fostering a positive, engaging environment for guests and staff alike.
This role is suited for those passionate about sports and skilled in communication, with excellent organizational capabilities and an aptitude for managing financial and operational aspects of the sportsbook. From opening bets, processing transactions, verifying winnings, managing betting limits, and coaching staff, the supervisor ensures every aspect of the sportsbook runs efficiently and securely. The position requires a minimum age of 21 and demands physical stamina to handle periods of standing, sitting, and light lifting. A high school diploma is required, with preferences given to candidates holding college education in finance or business and supervisory experience.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- preferred college education with financial or business background
- two years supervisory experience preferred
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests and employees
- excellent verbal and written skills in English
- ability to analyze financial statements
- ability to explain wagering to new guests
- ability to plan and execute departmental budget
- excellent organizational skills
- able to obtain a MS gaming license

Job Duties
- Greet customers
- input betting information into computer
- print ticket
- accept money and give ticket and change to customers
- accurately maintain bank
- verify winning tickets
- handle and solve any concerns and questions by customers
- explain wagering information when needed
- maintain and update betting boards or televisions for customers to view
- meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies
- supervise all wagering policies of the Race & Sportsbook
- ensure all AML & Title 31 procedures are followed and tracked accurately
- supervise the function of all personnel in Sportsbook Operation ensuring maximum productivity
- coach, guide and instruct personnel in the proper performance of duties
- ensure betting limits guidelines are followed
- remain aware of legislative action affecting business opportunities
- insure customer recognition and development using appropriate tools
- ensure departmental procedures conform to all regulatory requirements and provide maximum security for the company’s assets
- assure facilities and equipment are available and functioning properly
- resolve disputes by following posted house rules and working with local regulatory bodies to ensure compliance
