Founded over a century ago, this club offers world-class facilities including fitness centers, swimming pools, climbing gyms, and exquisite dining options. The club prides itself on cultivating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere where members from all walks of life can enjoy a variety of recreational, cultural, and social activities. Its dedication to maintaining top-notch amenities and an inclusive community spirit makes it a unique establishment that values its employees just as much as its members.

We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Restaurant Bartender to join our Sports Pub team. This is a remarkable opportunity to work in a lively and dynamic environment where your expertise in mixology will be highly valued. As a Restaurant Bartender, you will do more than just prepare and serve drinks—you will be an integral part of creating memorable experiences for our members and guests alike. This role requires a blend of creativity, precision, and excellent customer service skills.

Your daily responsibilities will revolve around overseeing the bar operations and ensuring that our service standards are consistently met across the Sports Pub and other dining venues as needed. Leadership is a crucial component of this role, as you will support training efforts for staff and encourage a culture of accountability and exceptional performance.

Maintenance of bar equipment and proper inventory management will also fall under your purview to guarantee a seamless operation. Your ability to control costs by adhering to proper pouring techniques and managing supplies effectively will contribute to the profitability and smooth function of the bars. Additionally, you will provide education to restaurant staff on beer, wine, and spirits to enhance the overall guest experience.

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of two years of full-service bartending experience along with valid OLCC and food handler permits. Strength and stamina are important since the role involves standing for long periods and handling heavy items up to 150 pounds. Familiarity with standard bar equipment such as carts, hand trucks, wine openers, and blenders is essential.

Strong communication skills, a dependable work ethic, and a positive attitude are key traits for success in this position. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for shifts during weekdays, nights, and holidays, is required.

Joining the Multnomah Athletic Club means becoming part of a team that values your well-being and growth. Beyond competitive compensation and a supportive work culture, you will benefit from medical, dental, and vision insurance as a full-time employee; access to fitness facilities and classes; free parking; discounted public transportation passes; and retirement savings plans with employer contributions. Wellness programs and employee perks further enhance the rewarding environment we strive to maintain.

If you are passionate about bartending and want to contribute to an exceptional dining atmosphere within a prestigious and member-focused club, we encourage you to apply for the Restaurant Bartender position today.
