The position of Premium Club Barback is based at the Delta Center, supporting high-profile events for the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth. This role entails ensuring the premium bar experience is seamless, efficient, and enjoyable for guests. The opportunity offers a competitive hourly wage between $17.00 and $18.00, with potential eligibility for tips depending on event assignment and business conditions. As a Premium Club Barback, you will be the vital support behind the premium bars at the Delta Center. Your duties will focus heavily on helping bartenders and premium service teams by maintaining well-stocked, clean, and orderly bar stations. The role demands a proactive, organized, and energetic individual who can efficiently manage responsibilities during fast-paced event operations. You will clear service areas of empty glasses and plates, restock beverages and garnitures, and keep all service points guest-ready. Attention to cleanliness, safety, and inventory control standards is a key aspect, along with maintaining professionalism when interacting with guests and management.
This position also requires flexibility in scheduling as events may occur in evenings, weekends, and holidays. Handling up to 50 pounds of materials is a physical aspect of the job, so the role suits those with stamina and readiness to stay alert in a vibrant environment. Understanding basic menu offerings and product presentation will also help you contribute effectively to the team. Safety certifications and compliance with all food safety, alcohol service, and workplace standards are mandatory. Job Requirements
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, carry, and move quickly throughout the shift
- ability to lift and move materials, supplies, and equipment up to 50 pounds
- ability to remain alert, professional, and responsive in a fast-paced event environment
- ability to work a flexible event-based schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- must obtain and maintain any required Levy, Delta Center, food-safety, or responsible alcohol-service certifications
Job Qualifications
- previous barback, restaurant, hospitality, food-service, or guest-service experience is preferred but not required
- friendly, outgoing, professional, and team-focused attitude
- strong communication and problem-solving skills
- ability to work efficiently with bartenders, servers, bussers, managers, and other team members
- ability to work with urgency while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and attention to detail
- ability to interact professionally with guests, including high-profile guests in premium spaces
Job Duties

- assist bartenders with bar setup, service support, and breakdown before, during, and after events
- keep bar areas clean, stocked, organized, and guest-ready throughout service
- clear empty plates, glassware, bottles, cups, and other items from bar and service areas
- wipe down bars, counters, tables, and service surfaces as needed
- restock beverages, ice, cups, napkins, garnishes, supplies, and other bar items
- maintain service areas and help ensure products are properly presented and easy to access
- respond to guest and bartender needs with urgency, professionalism, and a helpful attitude
- understand basic menu offerings, product presentation, packaging, and pricing
- communicate guest concerns, product needs, or equipment issues to management
- follow all Levy, Delta Center, food-safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol-service, and workplace-safety standards
- practice proper product control and careful handling of inventory, supplies, and equipment
- follow Levy team member training, employee handbook expectations, and location appearance guidelines
- complete additional duties as assigned based on event and department needs
