This distinguished organization is tasked with orchestrating one of the world's most prestigious sporting events, showcasing the best of sport, culture, and community on a global stage. As the host for the Summer Games returning to the United States after 32 years, this initiative holds a historic significance as it marks Los Angeles' third time hosting the Olympics and its inaugural Paralympic Games. LA28 combines innovative planning, community engagement, and an unwavering commitment to excellence to create an Olympic and Paralympic experience that celebrates diversity, inclusivity, and competitive spirit.

The role of Sport Manager, Paralympic Swimming, within LA28 is a high-impact position crucial to the success of the aquatics program for the 2028 Games. This multifaceted position requires close collaboration with a variety of internal teams such as Venues and Infrastructure, Venue Management, Ticketing and Hospitality, Transport, Accommodation, and Accreditation, as well as cross-departmental partnerships including Athlete Relations, Strategy, Marketing, Commercial, Technology, HR, and Finance.

Responsibilities include the design and planning of competition and training venues, contributing to the development of competition schedules, validating sport equipment requirements, and ensuring seamless integration of event operating plans. Acting as the subject matter expert, the Sport Manager will coordinate with World Para Swimming, U.S. Paralympics Swimming, and local sport communities, playing a pivotal role in workforce recruitment and management for competition operations.

The position demands a dynamic leader capable of balancing multiple stakeholder relationships and driving a culture of collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence. The candidate will be instrumental in pre-Games testing, Games-time operations, and the overall delivery of a world-class sport program tailored to the Paralympic movement. In addition, the role involves international, domestic, and local travel to attend IF and NGB events, site visits, and congresses, providing a global perspective essential for the Games’ phase planning and execution.

To be successful, candidates must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, adept communication, and problem-solving capabilities, along with a proven track record of leadership in Paralympic swimming event delivery. LA28 offers an annual salary range of $88,000.00 to $108,000.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications. It is important to note that LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.
