The Sponsorship & Events Manager role at JA North is a vital position within the Advancement department, reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships. This full-time, exempt role based in St. Paul, MN, offers a salary range of $56,000 to $66,000 annually. The manager is responsible for leading the systems, processes, and coordination efforts essential to donor engagement, corporate sponsorships, and event execution that support the organization’s flagship programs such as 3DE, JA BizTown, JA Finance Park, JA Dream Accelerator, and pop-up experiences. This role necessitates a high level of project management expertise to maintain and improve tracking systems that monitor sponsorships and program outcomes effectively.

In addition to systems oversight, the Sponsorship & Events Manager collaborates across multiple departments including Senior Leadership, Marketing, Program, and Advancement teams to plan and implement strategic donor engagement events. These events amplify relationships with existing supporters while attracting new partners crucial for funding sustainability. A major responsibility includes overseeing the production of stewardship materials that communicate the impact of donor contributions clearly and compellingly.

The manager also ensures the integrity and accuracy of the organization's fundraising database, which is pivotal for tracking individual and corporate giving activities and supporting the broader Advancement operations. Beyond these core functions, the role supports various Advancement initiatives and organizational priorities to drive JA North’s mission forward. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent organizational skills, creativity, strong interpersonal communication, and proficiency with data management technologies. Experience in fundraising and event planning is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience with donor or sponsorship management systems preferred
  • Proven skills in project management and cross-functional coordination
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must pass background check and meet physical demands of the role

Job Duties

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tracking systems for events and programmatic sponsorships, ensuring accurate reporting and streamlined processes
  • Serve as the sponsorship expert for corporate sponsors, coordinating stewardship, engagement, and renewal efforts with the Relationship Management team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Senior Leadership, Marketing, Program, and Advancement teams to plan and execute donor engagement events
  • Project manage the creation and delivery of donor-facing marketing and stewardship materials aligned with organizational priorities
  • Maintain and optimize the fundraising database to ensure accurate and up-to-date donor records
  • Support additional Advancement initiatives and organizational priorities as needed
  • Ensure strong alignment across departments to maximize donor engagement and sponsorship success
