The Event Sponsorship Manager role at Verkada is a critical position that focuses on generating revenue and forging valuable partnerships through events. This role centers around managing sponsorships for Verkada's flagship annual user conference, VerkadaOne, as well as a growing portfolio of regional field events. As an Event Sponsorship Manager, you will blend sales acumen and event marketing expertise to identify and secure sponsorship opportunities that deliver value to partners and enrich the attendee experience. You will be responsible for crafting customized sponsorship packages, managing the entire sales process from prospecting through closing, and collaborating with marketing event teams to ensure sponsor activations are well-integrated with the overall event strategy.

The position reports directly to the Director of Events and involves extensive coordination with cross-functional teams including product marketing, partnerships, sales, finance, and legal to align sponsorship initiatives with broader company goals. Beyond sales, this role demands a strong focus on relationship management by cultivating long-term partnerships with technology providers, resellers, and sponsors. Ensuring that sponsor deliverables are met before, during, and after events and gathering feedback to continuously improve offerings are key responsibilities.

An ideal candidate for this role will have 5 to 10 years of full sales cycle experience, particularly within the technology or SaaS industry, with a proven track record of exceeding targets and connecting sponsorship investments to measurable event outcomes. You should possess effective communication skills, strong presentation abilities, and a collaborative mindset to work closely with various internal stakeholders. Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Hubspot, as well as event marketing tools, is highly desirable. Job Requirements

  • 5-10 years of sales experience, preferably in tech or SaaS industry
  • proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Job Duties

  • develop, package, and sell sponsorship opportunities from technology and channel partners across VerkadaOne and field marketing programs
  • build tailored sponsorship packages that align with partner goals while enhancing attendee experience
  • manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing
  • partner with marketing event teams to ensure sponsor activations complement the overall event strategy, branding, and attendee journey
  • advise sponsors on effective activation strategies including speaking opportunities, branding, hands-on experiences, and digital campaigns
  • track sponsorship ROI alongside event performance metrics such as pipeline influenced, cost per lead, and attendee engagement
  • cultivate strong, long-term relationships with technology partners, resellers, and sponsors
  • serve as main sponsor liaison before, during, and after events ensuring deliverables are met
  • collect feedback post-event and continuously evolve sponsorship offerings
  • collaborate with product marketing, partnerships, and sales to align sponsorship strategies with broader go-to-market priorities
  • work with finance and legal to finalize contracts and manage sponsorship payments
  • contribute to post-event reporting and debriefs highlighting sponsorship impact on pipeline and brand objectives
