The Counter Attendant role at the Splash poolside snack bar is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals passionate about delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced and friendly environment. This part-time position, located on-site at the Multnomah Athletic Club, is crucial in supporting daily operations by preparing and serving a variety of food and beverages including espresso drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza, and pretzels to members and guests with efficiency and enthusiasm. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid Food Handler’s and OLCC (18 and older only) card mandatory
  • Prior experience in a similar environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of the menu
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to fulfill physical job requirements including lifting over 20 lbs
  • Availability to work part-time on-site at the club in Portland, OR

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid Food Handler’s and OLCC (18 and older only) card mandatory
  • Prior experience in a similar environment (coffee shop, sandwich shop) preferred
  • Strong understanding of the menu to answer questions from members or guests
  • Excellent customer service and decision-making skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, members, and employees
  • Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the job including lifting over 20 lbs, being able to remain in a stationary position 50%-100% of the shift, and move about the area 50%-100% of the shift

Job Duties

  • Deliver enthusiastic, prompt, and positive service to all members, guests, and employees
  • Regularly replenish stock items as needed
  • Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks as directed by your team lead, supervisor, or manager
  • Prepare espresso drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza, pretzels, etc. to our high standards
  • Operate the point-of-sale system to process transactions efficiently
  • Practice proper sanitation and food handling procedures at all times
  • Complete opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
  • Follow all club safety policies and procedures, demonstrating safe work practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
