The part-time Speech Pathologist position at Banner Thunderbird in Glendale, Arizona, is a unique opportunity for a clinical professional who is passionate about providing high-quality speech and language therapy services. This role is part of the Banner Staffing Services team and offers a self-scheduling work schedule from Sunday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for screening, evaluating, and rehabilitating patients facing speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency disorders. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the physical, social, spiritual, cultural, educational, and age-specific needs of your patients, ensuring each treatment approach is backed by current best practices and clinical research.

Job Requirements
- Completion of post-offer occupational health physical assessment drug screen and background check including employment criminal and education verification
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers
- Strong interpersonal communication and human relation skills
- Must have current state licensure
- Must have BLS certification
- Ability to proficiently use computer software applications
- Possession of Arizona fingerprint clearance card if employed in Banner Home Care AZ
Job Qualifications
- Masters degree in speech language pathology from an accredited university program
- Current licensure in the state of practice
- Certificate of clinical competence or documented acceptance in clinical fellowship year
- BLS certification
- Strong interpersonal communications and human relation skills
- Ability to become proficient with computer software applications in an automated patient care environment
- Arizona fingerprint clearance card for Banner Home Care AZ employees
Job Duties
- Evaluate patients functional abilities and limitations to determine appropriate intervention
- Develop a plan of care and treatment goals as ordered by physician or referral source
- Implement individualized treatment plans considering patients physical social spiritual cultural educational and age specific needs
- Educate patients family and care providers to promote participation and attainment of therapeutic goals
- Document patient treatment according to professional and regulatory standards
- Participate in training of other staff and students
- Follow plan of care and make independent judgments based on specialized knowledge
