This role is for a Specialty Team Member at Whole Foods Market, focusing on supporting the Specialty department by receiving and preparing products, maintaining attractive and fresh displays, and selling specialty items to customers in alignment with the regional Specialty vision. The position requires a strong commitment to outstanding customer service, ensuring that every interaction is courteous, friendly, and efficient. Team Members in this role must adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and safety and sanitation regulations, including food safety standards, to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Typical tasks include proactive selling to surprise and delight customers with delicious food, keeping product cases and shelves meticulously stocked and clean, monitoring product quality to meet Whole Foods Market’s high standards, and assisting with sampling programs to engage customers effectively.

The role also involves managing inventory back stock, tracking spoilage and waste to control department expenses, maintaining accurate temperature and sanitation logs, and delivering clear communication about market conditions to customers. Attention to detail and compliance with Weights and Measures laws, health standards, and safe work practices are crucial to success in this position. The Specialty Team Member will perform assigned opening, mid, and closing duties, assist with pricing and signage accuracy, and promptly report any safety hazards.
