This role focuses on supporting the Specialty department, one of the key areas in Whole Foods Market that offers exceptional products and caters to a discerning customer base. As a Specialty Team Member, your primary responsibilities include receiving and preparing products, maintaining an attractive and well-stocked specialty floor and displays, and actively selling products in alignment with the regional Specialty vision. Employment in this position is hourly, with wages ranging between $17.00 and $25.40 per hour, commensurate with experience. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- hand use includes single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- work requires bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in a wet and cold environment
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- ability to use tools and equipment including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- completion of TIPS course and age 18 or older to serve alcohol where applicable

Job Duties
- Surprises and delights customers with consistent and delicious food
- engages in positive and proactive selling
- ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well-stocked
- checks product to ensure it meets Whole Foods Market quality standards
- monitors spoilage and supply waste to minimize impact on department expenses
- assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing
- maintains back stock in good order
