Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certification
- Minimum of one year of relevant culinary or food preparation experience
- Open availability including weekends preferred
- Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods
- Ability to move and lift objects up to 10 pounds without assistance
- Willingness to comply with safety and company policies
- No supervisory experience required
- No specific licenses or certifications required

Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking by portioning, chopping and storing foods
- Remove foods from the freezer to thaw safely in the refrigerator
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklists
- Monitor food quality during preparation
- Taste dishes to determine if they are cooked properly by tasting, smelling or using utensils
- Ensure portion sizes, arrangement and food decoration are appropriate
- Serve food in correct portions and containers
- Use kitchen utensils safely and appropriately
- Clean and sanitize the kitchen area, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
- Check and ensure temperature of appliances and foods is correct
- Notify the manager if any product does not meet specifications
- Communicate assistance needs during busy periods
- Comply with all safety and company policies
- Report accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions to the manager
- Participate in safety training and obtain safety certifications
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
- Use clear and professional language with coworkers
- Support team to meet common goals
- Listen and respond appropriately to coworkers' concerns
- Ensure quality expectations and standards are met
- Stand, sit or walk for extended periods
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
