Job Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of professional barista experience
- Proven ability to prepare espresso-based drinks consistently
- Experience with milk texturing and latte art
- Familiarity with using POS systems accurately
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and special events
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to health and safety standards
- Willingness to embrace teamwork and assist in multiple roles as needed
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of barista experience
- Ability to pass a barista skills evaluation
- Working knowledge of espresso preparation, micro-foam milk texturing, and basic latte art
- Strong understanding of POS tickets, modifiers, and beverage offerings
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and special events
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs
- Experience in a high-volume or specialty coffee environment is preferred
- Positive attitude and strong sense of humor
- Passion for hospitality and enthusiasm for cookies is a plus
- Attention to detail and strong ownership of the guest experience
- Strong product knowledge including allergy awareness
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to unique workplace culture
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve the full beverage menu in accordance with established recipes and beverage standards
- Ensure beverage consistency, quality, and presentation across all drinks
- Maintain service time standards with drinks served within set time limits on weekdays and weekends
- Demonstrate proficiency in espresso preparation, milk texturing, and basic latte art
- Accurately read and execute POS tickets including sizes, modifiers, and dine-in versus to-go orders
- Deliver warm, genuine, and personalized service following all steps of service in every guest interaction
- Build rapport with returning guests and communicate menu offerings including allergy information
- Maintain an organized and efficient bar workflow to support speed and accuracy
- Operate in coordination with front-of-house team members and support other positions during slower periods
- Maintain the barista station to DOH standards including cleanliness of equipment and counters
- Complete opening and closing tasks including FIFO practices and DOH checks
- Report safety hazards, equipment issues, or maintenance needs promptly
- Work collaboratively with FOH and BOH teams to maintain smooth service
- Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in multiple roles as needed
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor even in high-pressure situations
- Perform additional tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned to support daily operations
