Job Description
Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited is a global, values-based, R&D-driven biopharmaceutical leader committed to bringing better health and a brighter future to patients by translating science into highly innovative medicines. With a rich history spanning over two centuries, Takeda combines a global reach with deep local expertise, operating in more than 70 countries and focusing on key therapeutic areas including oncology, gastroenterology, neuroscience, and rare diseases. Takeda is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce and embraces a patient-first philosophy to drive forward healthcare innovation and accessibility.
The Dermatology Specialty Business Manager position at Takeda is a pivotal role designed to support the commercialization of new dermatology products following potential regulatory approval. This sales force role focuses on education and relationship-building with healthcare providers (HCPs) specializing in dermatology. The SBM will engage with physicians, clinics, hospitals, and medical staff to optimize business opportunities by delivering clinical information, supporting patient access programs, and facilitating educational initiatives. This role demands strategic planning, market analysis, and effective use of resources to achieve sales objectives within an assigned geographic territory, all while upholding Takeda’s patient-first values and compliance standards.
This full-time, regular employee position offers an hourly wage range of $63.51 to $87.31 based on experience and qualifications. Located in Minnesota with a virtual work setup, the role requires the ability to travel 25 to 50 percent for client visits and business meetings. Takeda offers competitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, disability and life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being programs. The Dermatology SBM will be expected to collaborate across multiple departments and external stakeholders to effectively communicate the clinical value proposition of Takeda’s dermatology products and ensure optimal patient outcomes through education and support.
Key responsibilities include supporting account onboarding, conducting clinical selling activities, organizing peer-to-peer education programs, and managing complex reimbursement communications. Additionally, the SBM must demonstrate excellence in strategic business development, resource management, and customer engagement. This role requires strong interpersonal, presentation, and collaboration skills, as well as a keen understanding of the managed care environment and its impact on the pharmaceutical industry. The employee will undergo mandatory product training with both written and oral examinations to ensure deep knowledge of the products represented.
This position demands a driven individual with proven pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience, preferably with a dermatology background. Takeda values integrity, compliance, and respect for individuals, expecting SBMs to exemplify these principles daily. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a leading biopharmaceutical company’s growth in the dermatology therapeutic area while advancing patient health through innovative educational and sales strategies.
