The Dermatology Specialty Business Manager (SBM) role at Takeda is a full-time, non-exempt position located virtually within Georgia. The position offers a competitive hourly wage range of $63.51 to $87.31, reflective of the candidate's experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This role is part of the dermatology sales force and primarily focuses on driving demand for newly approved products by educating healthcare providers (HCPs) such as dermatologists in hospitals, specialty clinics, independent physician offices, and other relevant medical settings. The SBM is responsible for delivering a compelling clinical value proposition, advancing customer engagement across a brand educational continuum, and supporting patient access and clinical education efforts.

In this critical role, the SBM will utilize strategic planning skills and business acumen to identify and capitalize on unique selling opportunities within their assigned territory. The SBM will support account onboarding, provide peer-to-peer clinical education, cultivate professional relationships with healthcare decision-makers, and execute localized marketing strategies while adhering to all Takeda compliance guidelines. The position requires an individual with excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills to educate and support both medical staff and patients effectively. Additionally, the SBM will be responsible for managing resources efficiently, including financial and budgetary allocations, to meet and exceed sales goals for dermatology products. This role demands flexibility for occasional overnight travel, sometimes up to 25-50%, and a commitment to ongoing training and development, including mandatory product training with examinations.

The position is ideal for professionals with at least three years of successful selling experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with dermatology practices. Job Requirements

  • bachelors degree

  • ability to drive and or fly to accounts and occasional business meetings
  • some overnight travel up to 25-50 percent may be required
  • successful passage of mandatory product training which includes written and oral examinations

Job Duties

  • support account onboarding through education
  • engage in clinical selling activities including delivering the clinical value proposition and advancing customers across a brand educational continuum
  • support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff
  • coordinate and support clinical education opportunities and programs for HCPs such as peer-to-peer education
  • conduct account management activities within dermatology practices clinics and outlets as well as independent physician offices
  • attain sales goals and objectives by delivering product volume and other key metrics in the assigned territory
  • utilize discretion and judgment to execute franchise and company brand strategies within the assigned customer segment
  • establish professional working relationships with healthcare providers decision makers support staff and other stakeholders within assigned customers
  • develop and deliver targeted sales messages to HCPs based on accurate clinical information and approved marketing materials
  • execute marketing strategies at the local level leveraging resources and working with company team members and counterparts
  • present complex clinical and business information on assigned products and patient support services to various audiences
  • develop and implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs to expand healthcare professionals’ knowledge
  • strategically manage allocated resources including financial budgets managed markets medical affairs and home office
  • exemplify Takeda’s patient-first values and commitment to high standards of customer satisfaction and adhere to all compliance policies guidelines and training
