Job Description
Takeda Pharmaceuticals is a global, research and development-driven pharmaceutical company committed to improving the health and lives of people worldwide. With decades of expertise in the biopharmaceutical sector, Takeda specializes in creating innovative treatments across a variety of therapeutic areas, including oncology, gastroenterology, neuroscience, and rare diseases. Takeda is recognized for its patient-first philosophy and its dedication to fostering a diverse, inclusive work environment where employees can thrive and deliver their best work. As an employer, Takeda offers comprehensive compensation packages and prioritizes professional development and well-being for its staff.
Takeda's Dermatology sales force plays a critical role in the successful market introduction and ongoing education surrounding new products within its dermatology portfolio. The Specialty Business Manager (SBM) in Dermatology is responsible for driving demand by educating healthcare providers (HCPs) such as dermatologists and medical staff in clinics, hospitals, and independent offices. This position is pivotal in creating awareness, understanding, and adoption of products that may receive regulatory approval, ensuring that patients benefit from the latest therapeutic advancements.
This full-time, regular employee position is based virtually in Georgia, offering a competitive hourly wage range of $63.51 to $87.31. The role includes diverse activities such as clinical selling, account management, developing and delivering tailored educational programs, and collaborating closely with the franchise team to align local marketing strategies with broader company objectives. Success in this role demands adaptability, strategic thinking, and strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage multiple stakeholders and optimize business outcomes in a dynamic healthcare landscape.
The SBM will leverage their strategic and business planning expertise to identify opportunities, navigate managed care environments, and build professional relationships with key decision makers in healthcare settings. A strong focus is placed on adherence to Takeda's compliance policies and patient-first values, reflecting the company's commitment to ethics and excellence. Additionally, the SBM will have opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth through structured training programs, including mandatory product training consisting of both written and oral examinations.
Takeda supports its employees with a variety of benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being initiatives. Moreover, new hires are eligible to accrue paid vacation and sick time, contributing to a healthy work-life balance. This role also involves some travel, potentially up to 25-50%, to meet with healthcare professionals and attend business meetings, allowing the SBM to build strong customer engagement and firsthand understanding of market needs.
Joining Takeda as a Specialty Business Manager in Dermatology means becoming part of a global organization that values diversity and equal opportunity, ensuring all employees can contribute meaningfully while advancing their careers. The SBM position is non-exempt during the training period with eligibility for overtime, transitioning to exempt status upon successful completion of training. For professionals passionate about dermatology and committed to improving patient outcomes, this role offers a challenging and rewarding career path within a respected industry leader.
