The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive and diverse workforce, emphasizing collaborative teamwork, integrity, and the pursuit of excellence. Located virtually in New York, this opportunity allows professionals to join a forward-thinking organization committed to making a positive impact in healthcare and the lives of patients globally. The employment type is full-time regular employee, and the position is hourly paid, non-exempt with an anticipated hourly wage range of $63.51 to $87.31. Employees may also be eligible for various benefits and incentives including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) matching, short-term incentives, paid time off, and more.

The Dermatology Specialty Business Manager (SBM) role at Takeda is a vital position intended to drive demand generation and support the launch and adoption of dermatology products through education and strategic engagement. This role requires the candidate to educate healthcare providers including dermatologists, clinic staff, and pharmacists on the clinical value and safe use of assigned products. The SBM is responsible for applying business processes and strategic planning to maximize patient benefit while achieving sales goals within a designated geographic territory. This involves building and maintaining professional relationships with key decision-makers in medical practices and institutions, coordinating peer-to-peer and clinical education opportunities, and operationalizing marketing and education programs to ensure optimal product understanding and utilization.

This role requires exceptional collaboration skills with internal teams, including managed markets, medical affairs, and home office resources, to strategically manage budgets and resources. The SBM must also exemplify Takeda's high standards of compliance, integrity, and patient-first values in all activities. Managing complex reimbursement issues and maintaining up-to-date clinical and therapeutic knowledge are crucial aspects of this role.

The position involves some travel, potentially up to 25-50% overnight, depending on the territory. Candidates should be prepared to actively drive or fly to accounts and participate in necessary business meetings. A valid driver's license is required. The role is open to candidates residing within or close proximity to the assigned geography to maximize field effectiveness. The ideal candidate will be experienced in pharmaceutical or biotech sales, especially with a focus on dermatology, and possess strong communication, influencing, and business planning skills. This full-time role provides a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team at Takeda dedicated to bringing innovative dermatology solutions to healthcare professionals and patients.
