The Credentialing Specialist role at OSU-CHS is an essential position within the administrative framework, working closely with the Clinic Outreach and Credentialing Administrator and clinic administrators to ensure that providers are credentialed accurately and timely. This position plays a pivotal role by managing new provider credentialing and handling renewals for existing providers with government insurers such as Medicaid and the three Managed Care Organizations (MCOs). The specialist is also responsible for maintaining updated provider information across essential platforms including SSI and Availity. A critical responsibility involves submitting weekly rosters to the three MCOs and managing National Provider Identifier (NPI) registry details for both terminated and new physicians and groups.

The role demands exceptional team collaboration skills, as well as capable interaction with department leadership, clinical staff, physicians, and administrative supervisors. The Credentialing Specialist supports the operational efficiency of clinics by overseeing credentialing processes and promptly addressing credentialing-related needs and inquiries.

This is a staff, full-time position based on the Tulsa campus, offering an hourly wage of $18.60 to $21.00. The work schedule generally follows a Monday through Friday routine with eight-hour shifts. The appointment is regular continuous or until further notice, reflecting the institution's ongoing need for dedicated credentialing support.
