Job Description

Sysco is a leading global foodservice distribution company committed to providing quality products and exceptional service to thousands of customers across the United States and worldwide. As an industry leader in the food distribution sector, Sysco offers a robust supply chain delivering a wide assortment of products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and various supplies essential for restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and more. With decades of excellence, Sysco continues to innovate in the foodservice industry by fostering growth opportunities for its employees and emphasizing operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and sustainable practices.

The role we are hiring for is a Class C Special Delivery Truck Driver, a pivotal position within our delivery operations team. This role requires dependable individuals to safely operate a truck and manually unload and deliver a variety of products directly to customer locations based on assigned routes. The Special Delivery Truck Driver becomes an essential face of Sysco to customers, building strong relationships and becoming familiar with each operation's unique needs to consistently meet or exceed expectations. The driver must maintain a positive and friendly attitude at all times while demonstrating professionalism and efficiency. While a Class A or B commercial driver’s license is not required for this position, individuals holding these licenses may occasionally be asked to operate a tractor-trailer as needed, provided all Department of Transportation (DOT) driver qualification requirements are met.

This position is ideal for someone who values daily route consistency and enjoys interacting with customers in a dynamic work environment. Drivers will be expected to handle physical demands that include lifting, pushing, and moving products that weigh from 40 to 60 pounds on average, with occasional items weighing up to 100 pounds. The ability to read and communicate effectively in English is essential for safe operation and customer engagement. Sysco provides competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package that supports employees’ health, work-life balance, and future financial security. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and pass a pre-employment drug screening to qualify.

Working at Sysco means joining a workplace culture that extends beyond the job to become part of a passionate team dedicated to excellence in foodservice delivery. We invest in our associates through ongoing training, career development programs, and a supportive work environment. If you’re looking to build a career in the food distribution industry and are committed to driving success with a well-established, reputable company, consider applying for this rewarding opportunity today.
