Job Description
Sysco is a global leader in the foodservice industry, recognized for its commitment to delivering quality products and exceptional service to a diverse customer base. As a broadline food distributor, Sysco supports a range of businesses including restaurants, healthcare and educational facilities, hospitality establishments, and more. The company prides itself on creating lasting relationships with customers by meeting their unique needs and maintaining high standards in every aspect of its operations. With a focus on innovation, responsibility, and teamwork, Sysco creates an empowering work environment where employees can grow their skills and advance their careers.
Currently, Sysco is seeking dependable Class C Special Delivery Truck Drivers to join their dedicated team. This role involves safely operating a truck to deliver various food products such as meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies directly to customer locations according to an assigned route schedule. Drivers are an essential part of Sysco’s success, as they not only ensure timely deliveries but also build strong relationships with customers through reliability and a positive, friendly attitude. This position does not require a Class A or B commercial driver’s license; however, candidates who possess such licenses may be called upon to operate a tractor-trailer and must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) qualifications when doing so.
The Special Delivery Truck Driver position with Sysco is ideal for individuals who enjoy a dynamic and meaningful role within the supply chain. Drivers will have daily routes, which allows for predictable schedules and builds routine with customers. Beyond physical delivery tasks, drivers act as ambassadors of Sysco, representing the company’s values in every interaction. Candidates should be prepared for physical work that includes manually unloading and handling products weighing between 40 to 100 pounds, requiring strength and stamina.
Sysco offers excellent pay and comprehensive benefits including paid vacation and holidays, healthcare coverage, retirement plans, employee discount programs, and ongoing training opportunities. Employees receive uniforms and have access to share purchase discounts, reflecting Sysco’s investment in supporting its workforce. The company encourages career development and recognizes the crucial role that truck drivers play within their operations. For those looking for a stable, rewarding career in the foodservice distribution industry, Sysco’s Class C Special Delivery Truck Driver role presents an outstanding opportunity to join a successful and respected organization whose mission centers on excellence and customer satisfaction.
