This role is focused on performing rigorous and detailed inspections specifically for reinforced concrete and structural masonry elements as mandated by industry regulations and project specifications. The Special Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections that verify compliance with applicable ASTM standards and contract documents. The role demands meticulous documentation and timely communication of any discrepancies found during the inspection process to ensure corrective action is implemented promptly.\n\nThe position requires an individual holding certifications as an ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector and/or an ICC-SMSI Structural Masonry Special Inspector. Candidates with one of these certifications will still be considered. The Special Inspector will prepare comprehensive daily reports that detail the inspection activities, location specifics, test results, conditions, and any deviations from contract requirements. These reports are critical in maintaining project quality and form the documented evidence for compliance verification. Furthermore, the Special Inspector is expected to collaborate closely with contractors and the contractor's Quality Control Manager to ensure that all issues are resolved and that the construction proceeds as per approved plans and regulations. Upon project completion, the Inspector must submit a formal statement confirming the substantial conformance of the work with contract documents and that all required inspections and testing have been carried out satisfactorily.
