Special Events Production Manager

Within the Event Services Department, the Special Events Production Manager plays an integral role in ensuring the seamless execution of special events including premium member gatherings, fan experiences, private client functions, and organizational events. Reporting directly to the Director of Event Sales and Production, this exempt role is responsible for end-to-end production planning—from coordinating logistics and vendor relations to onsite oversight and real-time problem-solving during events.

The position requires a blend of project management skills, creative input on experience design, and effective cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Marketing, Partnerships, Guest Experience, and external service providers. The Special Events Production Manager works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure that all events reflect the Sacramento Kings brand identity and meet client expectations at a high standard.

Responsibilities include producing and executing events with meticulous attention to detail, managing creative assets like signage and branding, coordinating multi-city travel logistics for team and partner trips, and maintaining clear communications with all stakeholders to support successful event production. Additionally, this role oversees budgets, vendor databases, and continuous quality improvement initiatives related to event delivery and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, a solid background in event planning within arenas, stadiums, hotels, or convention centers, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with event management software, group travel logistics, facility contracts, and budget oversight is preferred. The role demands a flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight travel.

The Special Events Production Manager position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $70,000 to $72,000.
