We are currently seeking Special Events Flaggers to join our dynamic team. In this customer-focused role, Special Events Flaggers are key to facilitating smooth traffic flow and parking management during events. The position involves engaging directly with customers, ensuring they are directed to available parking spaces efficiently and courteously. Flaggers serve as the face of SP+, tasked with relaying important information such as parking rates while maintaining a professional, clean, and uniformed appearance at all times during their shifts. This role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to handle diverse customer queries promptly, and a strong sense of responsibility when reporting any irregularities or safety concerns to supervisors.
The Special Events Flagger position is well suited for individuals with a flexible schedule who enjoy interacting with people and thrive in fast-paced environments. This job requires physical stamina and the capability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions including cold, heat, rain, or snow. Successful candidates will be comfortable standing, walking, and using their hands throughout their shifts, with occasional tasks involving sitting, climbing, or lifting up to 25 pounds.

Job Requirements
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Availability to work special shifts including the possibility of 3rd shift and weekends depending on location needs
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Employees must maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times
- Must meet physical demands including standing, walking, using hands to handle cash and equipment, occasional sitting, climbing or balancing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working outside in varying weather conditions

Job Duties
- Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed
- Answer questions promptly and courteously
- Inform customers of the parking rate
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance, arrive and remain in complete uniform before and during scheduled shifts
- Give directions to customers to various locations in the area
- Report any unknown, observed, or suspected violation of company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrence to the supervisors
