The Greenville Kroc Center is a vibrant and dynamic environment where individuals can gather for events, fitness, cultural activities, and community service initiatives. The center prioritizes fostering a welcoming atmosphere aimed at enhancing the quality of life while maintaining the values of The Salvation Army's mission.
This opportunity is for a Temporary Full-Time Event Coordinator position, offering a competitive pay rate of $19.00 per hour. The role is integral to the seamless execution of various events held at the Kroc Center, including both internal community functions and external rental events. The primary responsibility of the Event Coordinator is to plan, schedule, and implement all rental events, ensuring they run smoothly and reflect positively on The Salvation Army's reputation within the community. In addition to event management, the coordinator will play a crucial role in promoting the facility for rentals by conducting tours and addressing inquiries from potential customers. This involves preparing proposals, managing billing, and maintaining rental management systems, ensuring a professional and efficient rental experience. Collaboration is vital, as the coordinator will work closely with program leaders, food service, and facilities departments to coordinate the needs of various stakeholders and ensure event success. A strong focus on food safety is required, with ServSafe certification or a willingness to obtain Food Handler's Certification being necessary to maintain high standards in food handling and service.
The Event Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact during events, managing relationships with rental groups and ensuring that all their needs are met efficiently and professionally. This role also involves technical support, including the use of audio-visual equipment necessary for meetings and corporate events, requiring technical proficiency and the ability to coordinate setup and breakdown.
