The role available is for a full-time position focused on event emceeing and guest engagement within the casino. This dynamic role involves creating an inviting and social atmosphere where the gaming public is encouraged to participate actively in all casino promotions and drawings. The person in this position will act as the primary emcee for all casino and property-wide events, ensuring that each promotion is presented effectively with enthusiasm and professionalism. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the individual will interact continuously with guests to provide superior service including answering questions, giving directions, and supporting various marketing initiatives. The job requires movement throughout the casino floor to engage with guests, entertain them, and nurture longer play periods by creating a festive and upbeat environment. In addition to public interaction, duties include observing gaming activity for security concerns and supporting other operational areas such as the Box Office and VIP Lounge when necessary.

This position demands a candidate capable of proficient event management, which includes recording tournament and event data accurately, completing post-event audits, and helping prepare for seamless execution of all casino events and promotions. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to maintain appropriate Gaming License and Alcohol Awareness card
  • Ability to lift/carry or push/pull 10lbs or less constantly and up to 75lbs occasionally
  • Ability to sit, walk, reach overhead, bend over, crouch, kneel, crawl, balance and stand for extended periods during shifts
  • Constant use of hand dexterity including light and firm grasping motions
  • Must be able to observe and analyze the gaming floor for security concerns
  • Ability to work indoors in environments with moderate to loud noise levels and occasional exposure to secondhand smoke
  • Employment type: full time

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in special events, casino events, or hospitality is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and team members at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, guests, and the general public
  • Clerical, compiling, coordination, analyzing, instructing, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Ability of complex reading, writing, and task completion as well as simple math skills

Job Duties

  • Create an inviting socialized experience for all guests in the area by encouraging the gaming public to participate in all casino related drawings and promotions
  • Emcee all casino or property wide events and promotions
  • Provide excellent guest service by answering questions, giving directions, supporting marketing initiatives and solicit interest and sign-ups for casino events
  • Entertain guests during their play by creating a festive and upbeat environment
  • Observe gaming activity and relay security concerns to appropriate personnel
  • Provide support to the Box Office and VIP Lounge when requested
  • Perform event management, record tournament and event data, and complete and reconcile post event reports and audit packets
  • Help to prepare for, set-up and execute all casino events and promotions within the property
  • Create corresponding collateral for all casino events and promotions
  • Communicate accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, Hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc
  • Move throughout the casino floor at a speed sufficient to satisfy guest needs
  • Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position
