This role, Special Events Bartender, offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of Levy’s dynamic team servicing UW-Madison’s vibrant and energetic sporting events landscape. The position offers a pay rate of $17.00 per hour plus tips with an anticipated start date in July. As a bartender, you will be responsible for crafting and serving beverages efficiently and courteously amidst a bustling, fast-paced environment. This role demands a keen understanding of state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations to ensure responsible alcohol service at all times. The bartender will be entrusted with maintaining a clean, well-stocked bar, preparing fresh garnishes and beverages, welcoming guests warmly, processing drink orders accurately, and managing the bar’s presentation and organization.

Working during high-profile UW-Madison football games and other events hosted at the Kohl Center, the Special Events Bartender must excel in managing high volumes of customer interactions with professionalism and a positive attitude. The position requires stamina for long hours of standing and walking, attention to detail in maintaining health and safety standards, and the willingness to obtain Responsible Alcohol ServSafe Certification and Food Handler’s ServSafe Certification. Beyond the core bartending duties, the role includes monitoring guests for any signs of inebriation to comply with liquor laws and ensuring a safe environment for all attendees.
