Job Requirements
- 5+ years of event management experience
- strong history of volunteer management
- experience managing budgets and timelines for complex events
- knowledge of event management software
- proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- familiarity with social media marketing tools
- availability to start July 1, 2026
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in event management or related field
- minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale events
- proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and complex logistical details
- strong project management and organizational skills
- experience with volunteer coordination
- familiarity with event management software such as Cvent and Eventbrite
- proficiency with social media and digital marketing platforms
- knowledge of audiovisual and technical requirements for live events
- experience working in education or nonprofit sectors is a plus
Job Duties
- Develop and execute a comprehensive events strategy aligned with organizational goals
- manage volunteers effectively to support event activities
- lead the planning and implementation of all special events including internal, fundraising, and community outreach
- manage relationships with vendors, venues, and stakeholders to negotiate contracts and oversee logistics
- collaborate with marketing, communications, and admissions teams to create cohesive event messaging and branding
- stay current with event industry trends to enhance guest experience
- analyze event performance metrics and gather feedback for continuous improvement
