The Special Events and Community Relations Manager role at Palm Beach Day Academy is a pivotal position designed to elevate the school's engagement through strategic event management and community outreach. This full-time role, set to commence on July 1, 2026, involves developing and executing a comprehensive events strategy that closely aligns with the school’s mission and organizational goals. The successful candidate will oversee the full lifecycle of special events, including internal gatherings, fundraising campaigns, and community initiatives, ensuring every event reflects the Academy's core values and commitment to excellence.

Key responsibilities include managing a network of volunteers, coordinating with vendors and venues, and collaborating with various internal departments such as marketing, communications, and admissions to ensure seamless event branding and promotion. The ideal candidate will be highly organized with exceptional project management skills, able to handle complex logistics, budget management, and multiple priorities simultaneously. They should have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to innovating event experiences, while staying current with industry trends to continuously enhance the school’s engagement efforts.

This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with key partners, sponsors, and stakeholders to maximize resources and event impact. The Special Events and Community Relations Manager will also be accountable for analyzing event performance metrics and gathering feedback to drive continual improvements for future initiatives. Candidates with experience in the education or non-profit sectors, proficiency with event management platforms such as Cvent or Eventbrite, and familiarity with digital marketing tools are highly desirable. Additionally, knowledge of audiovisual requirements and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge software will be advantageous.

  • 5+ years of experience in event management with a portfolio of successful large-scale events
  • Proven budget and timeline management skills
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail
  • Strong volunteer management experience
  • Experience in education or non-profit sectors is a plus
  • Familiarity with event management software including Cvent, Eventbrite, Canva
  • Knowledge or proficiency in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge software
  • Experience with social media platforms like Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok
  • Understanding of audiovisual needs for live events
