Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in event management with a portfolio of successful large-scale events
  • Proven budget and timeline management skills
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail
  • Strong volunteer management experience
  • Experience in education or non-profit sectors is a plus
  • Familiarity with event management software including Cvent, Eventbrite, Canva
  • Knowledge or proficiency in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge software
  • Experience with social media platforms like Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok
  • Understanding of audiovisual needs for live events

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of event management experience with successful large-scale events
  • Proven track record managing budgets, timelines, and logistics
  • Exceptional project management and multitasking skills
  • Strong volunteer management background
  • Experience in education or non-profit sectors preferred

  • Experience with social media and digital marketing tools
  • Knowledge of audiovisual and technical requirements for live events

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive events strategy that aligns with organizational goals and mission
  • Manage volunteers
  • Lead planning and implementation of special events including internal gatherings, fundraising, and community outreach
  • Manage relationships with vendors, venues, and stakeholders including negotiating contracts and overseeing logistics
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and admissions teams to create cohesive event messaging, branding, and promotions
  • Stay current with industry trends to enhance guest experience and event innovation
  • Establish and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, and vendors to maximize event impact
  • Analyze event performance metrics and gather feedback for continuous improvement
