This role involves critical responsibilities such as setting up dining rooms, arranging table settings, handling food and drink service, and maintaining atmosphere control to uphold the unique HOB environment.
Key responsibilities include setting up for events by managing table linens, place settings, and buffet arrangements, carrying and serving food on trays to guests, keeping beverages replenished, and clearing plates promptly. Servers are also tasked with cleaning and breaking down service areas post-event, anticipating guest needs, and resolving guest concerns or complaints with a courteous and proactive approach. Throughout the shift, servers must maintain a line of sight and atmosphere control by actively circulating in their work area, quickly addressing any spills or other issues, and adhering strictly to HOB's high standards for safety and sanitation.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- CA Food Handlers Card
- 2-5 years high volume restaurant operation experience
- knowledge of safe, responsible alcohol service
- skill in guest relations
- ability to manage multiple tables efficiently with a friendly demeanor
- capability to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper techniques
- ability to stand for extended periods
- point of sales knowledge preferred
Job Qualifications
- CA Food Handlers Card
- 2-5 years high volume experience in restaurant operations
- working knowledge of high volume restaurant operations and safe, responsible alcohol service
- standard food preparation and presentation
- skill in guest relations
- wine and liquor knowledge
- ability to handle multiple tables at one time efficiently and with an upbeat, friendly attitude
- read guests in order to anticipate their needs
- high school diploma
- point of sales knowledge, preferably MICROS (preferred)
Job Duties
- Perform food and drink serving duties at dinners and special events while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly and efficient manner
- set up for events by putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and setting up a buffet
- carry plates of food on trays and serve guests
- keep glasses filled
- remove each round of plates and replenish utensils
- perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service
- anticipate and respond to guest needs
- respond to guest concerns or complaints regarding food or service and correct errors or resolve complaints with a friendly, positive attitude
- perform opening, running, closing duties per HOB policy
- maintain line of sight or atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift
- clean spills on tables or around work area
- maintain HOB safety and sanitation standards
- assist other servers or other employees as needed
