Job Requirements
- High school education or GED equivalent
- five years of food services or related experience
- management experience preferred
- Certified Dietary Manager certificate or comparable modified diet experience preferred
- ability to operate standard kitchen equipment
- knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards
- good communication and leadership skills
- ability to lift 10-50 lbs occasionally
- willingness to travel between schools and offices
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- High school education or GED equivalent
- five years of food services or related experience
- preferred management experience
- Certified Dietary Manager certificate or comparable experience with modified diets in a regulated field
- strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- proficiency with kitchen equipment and basic computer technology
- ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with diverse populations
- understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols
Job Duties
- Maintain food accuracy and student safety across the district
- estimate and requisition quantities of food and supplies
- coordinate inventory and prevent waste
- schedule food preparation, cart setup, and cleaning tasks
- monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards
- coordinate production schedules with other departments
- inspect and taste food products for quality and safety
- direct daily food distribution and delivery routes
- calculate recipes, menu ingredients, allergen compatibility, and component contribution
- ensure safe operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- support Summer Food Service Program with planning, coverage, and training
- handle minor employee discipline and motivation
- maintain communication with Specialist Dietitian
- assist with additional duties as assigned
