Established over a century ago, the FBI is renowned for its rigorous investigative prowess and dedication to upholding the rule of law at the highest levels. Operating as a multifaceted entity, the Bureau handles a diverse array of complex cases ranging from counterterrorism and cybercrime to public corruption and violent crime. The FBI’s mission is to safeguard the nation by investigating and preventing criminal activities that pose significant risks to American society and its democratic principles. As a respected federal agency, the FBI offers its personnel a dynamic, challenging, and impactful career path focused on service, integrity, and justice.
The FBI is currently seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to serve as Special Agents. This role plays a crucial part in securing the nation by conducting investigations into potential violations of federal laws, particularly those concerning cybersecurity and public safety. The Special Agent position blends specialized knowledge with practical law enforcement duties, requiring candidates to utilize judgment, resourcefulness, and versatility throughout the course of their investigations. Successful agents will create and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies to collaborate on cases and share intelligence. The position demands physical fitness to meet the rigorous requirements essential for law enforcement readiness.
This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary range from $103,326.00 to $133,200.00 per year, commensurate with base pay, locality adjustments, and availability pay. The role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited U.S. college or university. The job entails travel as required, highlighting a mobile, on-the-road work environment dedicated to national security and public safety priorities. Candidates undergoing the transition to this role will find the Bureau supportive of their professional growth, equipped with a robust benefits package, and committed to fostering a work culture of adaptability, resilience, and integrity. The FBI is an equal opportunity employer, committed to non-discrimination and merit-based selection to ensure the best talent serves the nation in defense of its laws and citizens.
