Job Description
The position is within a hospitality establishment that includes a spa, salon, fitness center, and recreational facilities. This company operates in the luxury hotel sector, providing high-end services that enhance guest experiences and satisfaction through well-coordinated and attentive guest service operations. The establishment prioritizes a clean, orderly, and well-stocked environment with professional standards and strict adherence to safety regulations, including OSHA compliance and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
This role is a Spa Coordinator responsible for all aspects of guest movement and service coordination within the spa. The coordinator will ensure seamless scheduling and management of appointments for spa treatments, salon services, fitness classes, and recreation areas. Guests are greeted with professionalism and hospitality, guided through the available amenities, and assisted comprehensively from arrival through service completion. The role demands excellent communication skills to interact with guests from diverse backgrounds, the ability to handle guest concerns promptly, and proactive promotion of spa retail products to enhance guest satisfaction and contribute to additional revenue streams.
The Spa Coordinator role requires multitasking capabilities, including administrative duties such as managing appointments, processing payments, maintaining detailed records, handling messages accurately, and supporting spa management with daily operational tasks. Coordination with multiple departments—such as housekeeping, engineering, and front office—is essential to maintain facility standards and respond swiftly to maintenance and guest needs. The role entails monitoring spa areas to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to operational policies.
Candidates must be comfortable with technology, including telephone and computer systems, and possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. The position demands physical stamina to frequently stand and walk, occasionally lift and move equipment, and the agility to navigate a fast-paced environment. Wearing non-slip, oil-resistant shoes and adhering to safety protocols are mandatory. Working schedules may vary and include holidays, weekends, and alternative shifts to meet operational demands.
The job emphasizes teamwork and independence, requiring individuals who are detail-oriented and capable of problem-solving under pressure, including during emergencies. While no formal education is strictly required, experience in sales, guest relations, or spa work is desirable. The role encourages obtaining first aid and CPR certification, enhancing safety readiness.
Overall, this Spa Coordinator position is designed for a dynamic individual who is passionate about guest service excellence in a luxury spa and hospitality environment. It offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the guest experience and operational efficiency within the spa, salon, fitness, and recreational facilities of a premium hotel setting, ensuring every guest receives attentive, seamless, and superior service.
