The position of Spa Receptionist Associate AM at Ojo Santa Fe Spa Resort is a vital role that contributes significantly to the smooth operation of the spa and guest satisfaction. This role is primarily responsible for coordinating and scheduling all spa services, managing the pools, and overseeing other spa functions such as group bookings. The Spa Receptionist Associate plays a key role in maintaining the quality of services by participating in the overall quality control of the spa operations. This position also manages retail inventory, including assisting with the preparation of monthly retail inventory reports, merchandising the retail area, and alerting the Spa Director of inventory shortages or guest inquiries related to retail products.

Opening and closing the spa, handling cash, and using spa software systems proficiently are essential duties of this position. The Spa Receptionist Associate strictly adheres to opening, ongoing, and closing checklists while promptly communicating any changes, issues, or guest concerns to the appropriate spa personnel. This role demands excellent grooming standards, a clean and crisp appearance, and the ability to engage guests with enthusiasm and sincerity. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of all spa services and retail products and will be able to articulate these to guests clearly and enthusiastically. This role also requires the ability to manage paperwork, maintain an immaculate front desk area, promote service specials, and occasionally perform other duties such as the Spa Attendant role. Adherence to first aid and emergency procedures is also necessary to ensure guest safety. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of combined spa or hotel front desk and/or retail experience preferred
  • CPR certification preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer skills, experience and aptitude
  • Reliability and punctuality are critical
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high level of patience
  • Desire to ensure the best possible guest experience
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required
  • Ability to work in a quiet environment where the employee may be exposed to heat and steam
  • Ability to stand for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing up to 40 pounds

Job Duties

  • Promptly answer phones and provide accurate spa menu and related resort information
  • Book guest appointments efficiently and accurately
  • Assist Lead Spa Coordinator, Spa Coordinator and Spa Director with LMT bookings, communication and paperwork
  • Greet guests with a sincere welcome and explain services in the spa menu
  • Smile
  • Engage all spa guests in friendly conversation when appropriate
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of all spa menu and retail products and services
  • Articulate and describe all spa services, retail products and related services clearly and enthusiastically
  • Escort and tour guests through spa facility as needed in a friendly, unhurried manner
  • Promote service specials and spa facility
  • Communicate with Lead Spa Coordinator and/or Spa & Retail Director regarding guest requests or problems
  • Handle daily paperwork as directed or per protocol
  • Open and close the spa including cash handling, cash-out, processing retail receipts, running reports, and associated duties
  • Keep front desk and lobby reception immaculate
  • Assist with monthly retail inventory planning and implementation
  • Utilize downtime effectively by reviewing and following checklists and instructions
  • Perform Spa Attendant role as needed
  • Understand first aid/emergency procedures and direct guests accordingly
  • Incorporate resort’s culture of service excellence, mission and core values into job performance
