Responsibilities include answering and directing phone calls during business hours, processing payments, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the reception area, and providing detailed information about the spa’s services and products. The receptionist also assists in managing the booking system, ensuring appointment schedules are up-to-date and accurately maintained.
In addition to administrative duties, the Spa Receptionist must communicate effectively with spa staff to coordinate treatment schedules and ensure seamless service delivery. They are also responsible for collecting and reporting client feedback or any incidents that may affect guest satisfaction to spa management. This role requires someone who is enthusiastic, customer-service oriented, and able to adapt to changing priorities and guest needs. Proficiency in basic booking software, point-of-sale systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms for marketing purposes is highly beneficial.
The position demands strong interpersonal skills, multitasking abilities, and a professional demeanor. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably possess prior experience in a spa or wellness environment. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 20 pounds, sit for a portion of the shift, and manage tasks involving some physical movement such as pushing, pulling, or climbing stairs. Flexibility to work holidays and weekends is also necessary to meet the needs of the spa’s clientele.
