This role is crucial in ensuring smooth daily operations within the spa by acting as the first point of contact for guests. The Spa Receptionist will have a friendly and professional demeanor, greeting guests warmly both in person and over the telephone, addressing them by their preferred names to enhance their personalized experience. Responsibilities include managing spa reservations efficiently through the spa's scheduling software, handling payments with accuracy via the point of sale system, and addressing various guest inquiries and requests promptly. The receptionist is also responsible for promoting spa services and products, effectively contributing to revenue through appropriate upselling.
Moreover, this position demands thorough organizational skills to maintain accurate daily scheduling for treatment providers and ensuring that spa workstations are prepared and clean throughout shifts. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of cashier and customer service experience
- Six months of phone or reception experience preferred one year preferred
- Familiarity with Open Course software booking system preferred
- Typing speed of at least 35 AWPM
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Windows operating system
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Six months previous cashier and customer service experience required
- Six months previous phone and or reception experience required one year preferred
- Six months previous experience with Open Course software booking system preferred
- Must have an excellent attendance history free of no call no show policy violations
- Must have a typing speed of 35 AWPM
- Cashiering skills preferred
- Must work well with minimal supervision
- Must have excellent customer service skills including the ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and the windows operating platform required
- Strong organizational skills required

Job Duties
- Greet each guest warmly on telephone and upon entering and exiting the spa using their preferred names on a regular basis
- Schedule services for individuals and large groups utilizing the spa reservations software system
- Promote and recommend spa products and services up selling when appropriate
- Operate the spa POS system to process cash and credit card transactions ensuring that all transactions and the ending bank are accurate
- Courteously and expediently accommodate all guest requests and follow up to ensure completion of request
- Handle guest complaints and questions ensuring guest satisfaction
- Provide treatment providers with an accurate daily schedule throughout their shift notifying providers when the clients arrive
- Set up workstations with necessary supplies ensuring cleanliness is maintained throughout the shift
- Complete appropriate paperwork accurately
- Notify spa management of all maintenance needs
- Attend all meetings trainings and workshops as required by the Spa Director
- Other projects and duties as assigned
