Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum 2-3 years supervisory or management experience in luxury hospitality or spa industry
- Proven success in operational management and leadership
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Ability to maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- Ability to work outdoors
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and thrive under pressure
- Willingness to adhere to Chateau Elan grooming standards
- Ability to use computer operating systems
- Knowledge of spa policies and procedures
- Ability to manage inventory and cost control
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Associate's degree or equivalent relevant work experience in related field preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years supervisory/management experience within the luxury hospitality and/or spa industry with proven success in operational management and leadership
- Experience in luxury customer service
- Resort/hotel experience preferred
- Responsible Vendors Training
- CPR/FA/AED training preferred
- Knowledge of spa industry
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrated team building experience
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and ability to work efficiently with a variety of people
- Detail oriented with ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Ability to adapt to organizational and environmental changes
Job Duties
- Ensures internal and external guest satisfaction with a positive and friendly attitude
- Responsible for the scheduling for spa support staff on a weekly basis
- Responsible for organizing and facilitating all training and certification for all spa colleagues
- Conduct daily walk-through of facilities to ensure that all support areas are neat, organized and in compliance with all established and approved standards
- Ensure supplies for locker areas and beverage/snack station are maintained to established par levels and within the specified budgets for respective line items
- Ensure all spa support staff is in compliance with all standards of operation and guest interactions
- Ability to coach and motivate team to achieve stated revenue and guest satisfaction goals
- Conduct monthly spa departmental and inter-department meetings
- Review and complete payroll for all spa support staff
- Oversee the day-to-day operational flow of The Spa and its colleagues ensure seamless front desk and back of house operations
- Actively participate in weekly spa management meeting
- Attend all management training and development within hotel
- Responsible for overseeing daily kit inventory and cost control
- Responsible for bi-monthly retail and professional inventory, ordering and receiving
- Conduct daily spa colleague stand-up
- Ensuring adherence to all cleanliness/maintenance standards
- Deftly handling all guest complaints and issues, problem-solving
- Interview of new applicant candidates
- Appropriate coaching and development of spa staff
- Completing and conducting of all spa colleague evaluations
- Knowledge and adherence of all spa policies and procedures with flawless execution
- Product knowledge (fitness, retail and professional lines)
- Extensive knowledge of operational and back bar product
- Extensive treatment knowledge to include ingredients and intended benefits
- Ability to train on Book 4 Time
- Knowledge of all marketing initiatives and special spa promotions
- Liaise with restaurant management to ensure seamless operation for F&B service in the spa
- Mandatory participation in all Spa activities, events, and promotions
- Is an advocate for Chateau Elan's Vision, Mission and Initiative of The Spa and its operations
- Required to demonstrate and maintain exceptional product knowledge of The Spa, property specific outlets, and Chateau Elan/HEI Hotels & Resorts
- Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed, and in compliance with Chateau Elan Snowmass grooming standards
- Ability to work outdoors
- Additional reasonable requests by management
