Marriott International, a global leader in the hospitality industry, is renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences across a portfolio of brands worldwide. Among these brands, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts stands out as a symbol of timeless glamour and vanguard spirit, offering luxury accommodations and services at prime locations across the globe. The St. Regis brand originated at the dawn of the twentieth century with the debut of The St. Regis hotel in New York by John Jacob Astor IV. It has since maintained an uncompromising level of bespoke and anticipatory service, blending classic sophistication with modern sensibility, and is celebrated for its iconic Butler Service. Marriott International is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment that values the unique backgrounds and talents of its associates. It ensures equal employment opportunities, celebrates diversity, and upholds standards of non-discrimination according to applicable laws.
The role of Spa Manager within St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, located at 125 3rd Street, San Francisco, California, offers an exciting full-time management opportunity with an annual salary ranging from $129,000 to $171,000, including bonus eligibility. The Spa Manager will be responsible for supervising all aspects of spa operations, including programs, services, hours of operation, facilities, and staff management. This position requires coordination across multiple spa departments such as salon, skin care, fitness and wellness, massage therapy, reservations, reception, and locker rooms. As the department head, the Spa Manager will lead both management and hourly employees to deliver seamless spa experiences that maximize guest satisfaction and financial performance.
The Spa Manager will strategically manage spa operations and budgets by selecting vendors, overseeing retail product research and purchasing, maintaining inventory controls, and ensuring a pristine spa environment. Additionally, this role focuses on developing sales and marketing strategies to promote spa services and special group programs, ensuring spa offerings are integrated into broader property marketing efforts. Revenue management is a key focus, including monitoring payroll, managing expenses related to guest amenities and supplies, and ensuring operations remain within budget.
Exceptional customer service is paramount in this leadership role; the Spa Manager is expected to exemplify hospitality excellence, empower employees to deliver superior service, and continuously strive to enhance service performance. Human resources responsibilities include employing strategic recruitment, orientation programs, performance appraisals, development plans, and fostering open communication and teamwork within the spa team. The Spa Manager will also review guest satisfaction data and employee feedback to implement corrective actions and improvements. This comprehensive role provides an opportunity to influence every aspect of spa operations to create unforgettable experiences for guests at a prestigious luxury hotel brand.
Joining Marriott International and the St. Regis brand means becoming part of a global team dedicated to excellence, innovation, and cultural richness. This position offers a unique chance to grow professionally within a dynamic and supportive environment where the individual’s contributions are celebrated and rewarded. The Spa Manager position is ideal for a proactive, service-driven professional with a background in business administration, hotel or restaurant management, and significant experience in spa operations or related fields who aspires to lead with passion and integrity in a world-class luxury setting.
