The Mather is a distinguished Life Plan Community located in Tysons, Virginia, dedicated to providing exceptional senior living experiences for individuals aged 62 and better. Established recently in March 2024, The Mather redefines expectations for senior living by blending luxury residence with a vibrant, walkable urban neighborhood setting. It boasts 293 independent living apartment homes along with enhanced amenities like assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing services. The community is enriched with multiple restaurants, a state-of-the-art fitness center, art studios, beautiful gardens, and numerous other facilities that foster an active and engaging lifestyle.

The Spa Concierge position at The Mather is a part-time role that requires weekend and holiday availability, integral to the smooth daily operations of the spa and salon services offered on-site. This role ensures that all services meet community standards, delivering a consistent and exemplary experience to residents and guests. The Spa Concierge will actively support marketing strategies, staff training and scheduling, oversee spa events, monitor facility maintenance, manage inventory, and facilitate payment processing for residents. Attention to detail and operational excellence is essential, including thorough completion of opening and closing checklists and reporting operational needs.
The position calls for a proactive individual who can promote spa, salon, and wellness services to maximize revenue opportunities effectively. The Concierge will strategically manage appointment bookings and reservations to optimize service utilization while assisting spa management with staff supervision and training. They also play a key role in scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and oversee daily revenue and commission reporting in line with community policies. Exceptional customer service skills are necessary to engage with residents and guests, addressing feedback and inquiries thoroughly.
Additional responsibilities include assisting in orientation and tours for new and prospective residents, stocking supplies, maintaining spa retail displays, and ensuring sanitation standards are rigorously upheld. The Spa Concierge will help prepare promotional materials such as newsletters, flyers, and community event calendars, supporting wellness retail programs aligned with annual goals. The role demands confidentiality concerning resident information and active participation in ongoing staff training and wellness initiatives.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to use or learn a variety of tech-based services and platforms such as Microsoft Outlook, Zoom, resident facing portals, and spa-specific appointment/booking software
- availability to work weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Effectively completes opening and closing checklists and reports any operational needs to management

- follows-up on requests and comments
- in the absence of the Spa and Fitness Manager assists in conducting new resident orientations and prospective resident tours
- monitors inventory of operational supplies and assists in stocking operational supplies and amenities
- restocks and merchandises spa retail
- maintains resident confidentiality and privacy
- assists in preparing newsletters and flyers for display
- promotes wellness retail programs and maintains annual average retail goals
- upholds standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed
- ensures resident and guests’ satisfaction and engagement
- regularly attends and participates in spa staff training and department meetings
- assists in other areas and duties as requested by spa management
- supports elements of employee wellness opportunities
