JW Marriott Houston Downtown specifically is looking for a part-time Spa Scheduler to join their non-management team. This role is essential to ensuring seamless scheduling and reservations for spa and salon services, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and the smooth operation of the spa. The Spa Scheduler will be responsible for scheduling appointments for individuals and large groups using specialized reservations software, confirming bookings, and handling any last-minute changes or issues that arise during the day. This position not only demands attention to detail and organizational skills, but also requires effective communication and customer service abilities, as the Scheduler acts as a primary point of contact for spa guests.

In this role, employees will greet guests upon arrival, provide spa orientation, promote spa and salon services, and handle all payment processing accurately. They also manage the assigned bank, log tips, and ensure that receipts and financial transactions are properly balanced and reported to accounting. The Spa Scheduler maintains communication with spa service providers to relay changes and updates and collaborates with management on resolving scheduling conflicts. Additionally, the Scheduler monitors and reports any maintenance or repair needs within the spa to the engineering department, ensuring that the environment remains safe and welcoming.

Safety and professionalism are key components of the role. The Spa Scheduler must report accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions and uphold company policies including personal appearance standards and confidentiality. The ability to anticipate guest needs, provide clear and professional communication, and support guests with disabilities is essential. This position may require standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods and involves light physical activity such as moving or lifting objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
