As a part-time, non-management Spa Specialist located on-site, you will play an integral role in supporting various fundamental aspects of the spa services offered at The Ritz-Carlton.
In the role of Spa Specialist, you are essential to delivering a unique and unforgettable spa experience that complements the luxury hotel environment. This position involves proactive engagement in a variety of responsibilities geared towards enhancing guest satisfaction. Duties include promoting spa services and retail products, scheduling and confirming reservations, answering questions about services, registering guests upon arrival, and processing payments. The Spa Specialist ensures all these transactions contribute positively to the overall guest experience. Excellence is expected in every aspect of the job, whether it’s maintaining professional communication, adhering strictly to company policies and quality standards, or presenting oneself in a polished and professional manner through uniform and personal appearance.
Physical demands of the role require the Spa Specialist to be constantly active, involving prolonged periods of standing, walking on various surfaces—including uneven and slippery areas—and manual handling of items with weights up to 10 pounds independently and up to 25 pounds with assistance. The specialist must demonstrate mobility, including bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Being able to carry out these physical tasks efficiently and safely is critical to both the well-being of the guest and the business. The ability to perform reasoned additional duties as assigned also plays a part in the success and smooth operation of the spa.
