Job Description
This opportunity is with a distinguished hotel brand known for its commitment to excellence, sustainability, and outstanding guest service. The hotel industry is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring professionals who are adaptable, courteous, and dedicated to providing a memorable guest experience. Within this vibrant environment, the role of a Spa Concierge is pivotal to the operational success of the spa department and crucial in delivering the brand promise through personalized service and adherence to sustainability standards.
The Spa Concierge plays a frontline role that shapes the first impression guests have of the spa and overall hotel experience. The position demands a warm, professional demeanor and the ability to anticipate and meet guests' needs while maintaining brand and sustainability standards. This role involves greeting guests immediately and courteously, managing reservations, handling billing processes, and resolving guest concerns effectively. The Spa Concierge not only ensures smooth daily operations but also supports the hotel’s Earth View sustainability initiative, demonstrating environmental responsibility in everyday tasks.
This position offers a clear career path, with opportunities for advancement to leadership roles such as Lead Spa Concierge, Spa Operations Manager, and eventually Spa Director. Candidates with a college degree or comparable work experience are preferred, along with prior customer service experience or equivalent training, reflecting the importance of interpersonal skills and operational expertise in this role.
Working as a Spa Concierge requires physical stamina and flexibility. The work schedule may vary and include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts, reflecting the hospitality industry's demand for 24/7 service. The role involves standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting moderately heavy objects, and performing physical movements such as bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. These physical demands are managed with a strong emphasis on safety, requiring adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and proper use of personal protective equipment.
At this hotel, the guiding principles encapsulated in the philosophy "People Are Our Capability - Hearts That Serve - Only Excellence - Stay Nimble - Own It" highlight the company’s dedication to fostering a supportive and high-performing culture. Employees are empowered to bring their best selves to work, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and contribute to a sustainable, environmentally conscious hospitality operation.
Overall, the Spa Concierge position is perfect for an enthusiastic individual eager to build a career in hospitality, offering a meaningful role that combines customer service, operational responsibilities, and a commitment to sustainability within an inspiring and growth-oriented company environment.
