As part of Marriott International, one of the world's largest and most esteemed hospitality companies, The Ritz-Carlton benefits from an extensive portfolio of award-winning properties across the globe. At The Ritz-Carlton, the culture is deeply rooted in the "Gold Standards," a set of guiding principles including the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values, which ensure that every guest interaction is gracious, thoughtful, and exceeds expectations. This environment fosters a rich blend of culture, talent, and experience that empowers associates to deliver excellence in all aspects of their work.
The role being offered is a Spa Receptionist position within The Ritz-Carlton, which is a premier luxury hotel brand renowned for its commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. This position plays a crucial role in facilitating spa and salon services by managing appointments, welcoming guests, answering inquiries about services, and handling payment procedures. As a Spa Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests arriving for spa services, responsible for scheduling individual and group appointments using specialized salon reservation software, confirming bookings through phone communication, and maintaining updated reservation logs. You will also ensure guests have a pleasant check-in experience by verifying their identity and providing orientation to the spa facilities.
In addition to customer service duties, the Spa Receptionist handles essential financial tasks such as managing the assigned cash bank, tracking payments, processing transactions, and logging employee tips. Ensuring the security and accuracy of the cash bank is a key responsibility. The position requires collaboration with spa service providers and management to accommodate last-minute scheduling changes and to resolve any issues efficiently. Operational tasks include reporting maintenance needs to the Engineering department, documenting any accidents or workplace safety concerns, and complying strictly with all company policies and procedures.
Uniform appearance, professional demeanors, confidentiality, and safeguarding company assets are emphasized within the role to maintain the high standards of The Ritz-Carlton brand. The receptionist must communicate clearly and professionally, both in person and on the telephone, and exhibit politeness and appreciation towards all guests, while also assisting guests with disabilities when needed.
The Spa Receptionist position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working within a dynamic, customer-focused environment, capable of multitasking and maintaining a calm and helpful attitude under pressure. This role involves physical aspects such as standing or walking for extended periods and moving light objects, making a person physically adept an advantage. The Ritz-Carlton values associates with a positive team spirit and a commitment to upholding quality assurance standards.
This opportunity is typically suited for those with a high school diploma or equivalent, ideally with some customer service experience, though prior supervisory experience is not required. It represents a chance to join an elite team within a globally recognized luxury hospitality brand, where professional growth and development are strongly supported. The employment type is usually full-time or part-time, and benefits typically align with Marriott International's comprehensive offerings, including health, dental, and paid time off, among others.
Joining The Ritz-Carlton means becoming part of a distinguished legacy in hospitality where your contributions help craft lifelong memories for guests worldwide. It invites you to work where you can perform your best, begin your purpose, belong to a global team, and become the best version of yourself.
