Currently, Anthony's is seeking a passionate Kitchen Manager who will uphold and exceed their high standards for fresh seafood, quality, and service. The Kitchen Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the kitchen and dish room during their shift, with a strong focus on cost efficiency and quality standards. This position requires excellent leadership, communication, and food production skills to lead the kitchen team effectively. Key responsibilities include supervising team members, assigning workstations, overseeing training, scheduling, and quality control. The Kitchen Manager may also assume the Chef's duties in their absence, demonstrating versatility and commitment to the kitchen's success.
Physical stamina is essential, as the role demands standing and moving swiftly for extended periods and the ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds. The job offers overtime opportunities and incentive pay based on the restaurant's operating profit, providing financial rewards tied to performance. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of experience in a high-volume, full-service dining kitchen
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
- Physical ability to stand and move at a fast pace for up to four hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment
- Must have excellent leadership, communication, and food production skills
- Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to kitchen team members, dining room team and managers
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English
- Two or more years of experience in a high-volume, full-service dining kitchen required, preferably in a seafood restaurant
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Responsible for the supervision and smooth operation of the kitchen and dish room during the shift with a mindful eye on the cost efficiency
- Responsible for all kitchen team members and ensure that they are performing their duties according to established procedures and quality standards
- Assigns stations to the kitchen team at the start of the shift
- Oversees training, cross-training, interviewing and scheduling of assigned positions
- May assume all duties of the Chef in the Chef's absence
