Additionally, the Sous Chef will play an essential role in delivering exceptional catering events and rolling out innovative culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in kitchen management or culinary roles
  • ability to supervise and train staff
  • excellent communication skills
  • computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and internet
  • willingness to participate in client satisfaction activities
  • ability to meet physical demands of the role
  • flexible to work varied hours and catering events
  • servsafe certification highly desirable

Job Qualifications

  • a.s. or equivalent culinary experience
  • progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • catering experience preferred
  • knowledge of high volume foodservice operations
  • experience with institutional and batch cooking
  • comprehensive knowledge of food trends and food cost controls
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
  • servsafe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures
  • assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • produce and execute catering events
  • roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams
  • supervise and guide hourly kitchen associates
