This particular role is based at The Hand and The Eye, located in Downtown Chicago, IL, a venue known for its vibrant culinary scene and high standards of food service. Levy is seeking a Sous Chef to join their Culinary Department. The Sous Chef will play a critical role in supporting the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations. This includes overseeing the preparation and cooking of a variety of foods, menu development, and ensuring high-quality standards for presentation and taste. The Sous Chef will also assist with supervising hourly associates, managing cost controls, and coordinating orders. This position requires a driven, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a high-volume, complex foodservice environment.

Job Requirements
- a.s. degree or equivalent experience
- culinary or kitchen management experience
- experience with catering and high volume operations
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- ability to supervise kitchen staff
- computer literacy including microsoft office and email
- servsafe certification preferred
- willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs
Job Qualifications
- a.s. degree or equivalent experience
- progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- catering experience is a plus
- experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
- thorough knowledge of food trends and cost controls
- proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet
- servsafe certified is highly desirable
Job Duties
- assist executive chef with managing cost controls and expenditures
- assist executive chef with planning and creating menus
- produce and execute catering events
- roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
