Committed to fostering a dynamic culture of inclusivity and growth, MGM Resorts provides ample opportunities for career advancement and development within a supportive and energetic workplace. Its commitment to excellence is reflected in creating exceptional experiences not only for its guests but also for its talent pool.

We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join the vibrant kitchen team at TAP, one of the casino's celebrated restaurants. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to enhance your culinary career by working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where there is never a dull moment. With a lively crowd enjoying sports games broadcasted on over 40 HD flat-screen televisions, TAP provides a unique and energetic setting for culinary professionals who thrive on creativity and teamwork.

As a Sous Chef at TAP, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the consistency and quality of food products, managing kitchen operations, and collaborating closely with the Executive Chef and department executives. The role demands multifaceted decision-making skills to handle ordering, guest assistance, and seamless coordination with the front-of-house team. You will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen activities, training and supervising kitchen staff including master cooks and helpers, and contributing to cost control measures that focus on profitability and sustainability. This position requires a hands-on approach and the creativity to develop recipes, measure and execute new daily specials that keep the menu fresh and exciting. At MGM Resorts International, this role not only allows you to showcase your culinary expertise but also to grow professionally within a company that prioritizes its employees' mental and physical well-being, offers health and income protection benefits for eligible staff, and provides numerous discounts and incentives to enhance work-life balance.

Working as a Sous Chef at TAP under the MGM Resorts umbrella means being part of an organization that values dedication, skill, and passion. Besides being instrumental in delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests, you will benefit from wellness incentive programs, free meals, parking convenience, and multiple networking opportunities aimed at career growth. If you are eager to be a key player in a kitchen that serves both locals and visitors in one of Detroit's most exciting hospitality environments, this role offers you that chance. Apply now to join the show and elevate your culinary career to new heights with MGM Resorts International.
