Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant kitchen experience
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
  • Food handler certification
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation
  • Experience with Southeast Asian cuisine preferred
  • Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training

Job Duties

  • Plan and direct food preparation in the kitchen
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities
  • Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu development and ingredient selection
  • Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Respond promptly to kitchen issues or emergencies
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
