One of DRG’s leading brands, Sullivan's Steakhouse, is currently seeking experienced Sous Chefs to join their team. Sullivan’s Steakhouse is an upscale dining establishment known for its classic steakhouse atmosphere combined with innovative culinary offerings. The role of the Sous Chef at Sullivan’s Steakhouse is critical to maintaining the high standards of quality, service, and cuisine that the brand is known for. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef is instrumental in both kitchen operations and team leadership. This position is exempt and offers a competitive salary commensurate with the candidate’s experience and expertise.
Working as a Sous Chef at Sullivan’s Steakhouse means supporting an executive culinary team dedicated to creating unique and memorable dishes that meet the diverse needs of guests. In addition to culinary skills, the role demands strong leadership capabilities to manage, train, and motivate kitchen staff effectively. Sous Chefs are also responsible for assisting in budget preparation, monitoring food and labor costs, and making adjustments necessary to meet financial goals. Menu innovation is encouraged, with opportunities to craft daily specials and accommodate specific dietary preferences or restrictions, enhancing the overall guest dining experience.

Job Requirements
- 2+ years of Sous Chef experience in an upscale casual dining or fine dining environment
- Strong broiler skills are required
- Experience in a steakhouse is a plus

Job Duties
- Assist Executive Chef when present and act on their behalf when absent in organizing, training and managing employees
- Assist in preparing budget data including projecting food, labor and other costs and monitor financial results
- Take corrective action to ensure financial goals are met
- Create unique dishes and menu items for daily features and specialty events
- Consult with guests to meet dietary restrictions and palate preferences
- Oversee kitchen operations to maintain high standards of quality and hygiene
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance team performance
