The role of Sous Chef at Sullivan's Steakhouse is a pivotal position within the kitchen hierarchy, responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in all culinary operations. This full-time role demands a detail-oriented and passionate culinologist who can assist in managing kitchen staff, ensuring consistent food quality, and innovating menu offerings. The Sous Chef works closely with the Executive Chef to organize, train, and manage employees, stepping in as the head of the kitchen during the Executive Chef’s absence. Job Duties

  • Assist Executive Chef in organizing, training, and employee management
  • Act on behalf of Executive Chef in their absence
  • Prepare data for budgets and project annual food, labor, and other costs
  • Monitor financial results and take corrective actions
  • Create unique dishes and menu items for daily features and specialty events
  • Consult with guests on dietary restrictions and palate preferences
